Mohamed Shariff Thowfeek took oath as MP

Mohamed Shariff Thowfeek  took oath as a Member of Parliament today ,26.01.2016.His appointment is to fill the UNP National List seat vacated with the resignation of A.R.A. Hafeez on personal grounds.

The Elections Commission of Sri Lanka has confirmed, that Mohamed Shariff Thowfeek has been appointed to fill the seat.
M.S. Thowfeek was nominated by the General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP) on recommendation made by Rauf Hakeem of the Srilanka Muslim Congress.
