Twenty 20 Fight Among Srilankans-Provincial Tournament
Srilanka Cricket Super Twenty-20 Provincial Tournament of five teams commenced this morning (Tuesday 26th).
Five teams comprised of Colombo Commandos, Galle Guardians, Kurunegala Warriors, Hambantota Troopers and Kandy Crusaders will compete for honors,the SLC conformed.
The tournament will continue at Colombo R Premadasa Grounds till the 5th of next month. Milinda Siriwardene will lead the Colombo side,while the Galle squad will be led by Dinesh Chandimal.
TM Dilshan has been assigned to lead the Hambantota team, while Mahela Udawatta will be the captain of the Kurunegala team. Kandy Crusaders will be captained by experienced Lahiru Thirimanne.
The tournament will also be considered a showcase event for player selection for the 2016 Asia Cup and the ICC World Twenty-20 India 2016.
