Gampaha District LC members Challenges the President’s Chairmanship of SLFP

A group of Gampaha District local Council (LC) members have passed a resolution asking President Maithripala Sirisena to resign from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairmanship.

This resolution was projected by Attanagalla Pradeshiya Sabha member Sisira Kumara Bulathsinhala, and it was seconded by Minuwangoda Urban councilor Athula Senanayake.

A convention of Gampaha District local government representatives was organized at Western Provincial Council (WPC) Chief Minister (CM) Prasanna Ranatunga’s residence last Sunday.

Parliamentarians Sarath Kumara Gunarathne and Sarana Gunawardana also participated in this convention.
