Millions due to Air force for using Plane for Internal flight by Basil- Investigation begins

During the year 2010, two Security Officers were appointed to Basil Rajapakshe, former Minister of Economic Development. Basil made use of air force helicopters / planes for local flights during his tenure of office. But payments have not been made to the air force. Outstanding amount runs into millions. This matter was brought to the notice of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Bribery and Corruption. One of the Security Officers then attached to Basil was summoned and his statement  was recorded in this connection yesterday. The other Navy Officer was summoned to the Commission today to record his statement  in connection with this dues to Air force.
