Sarath Fonseka to Take Oath Today

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka was nominated to Parliament after a collective agreement signed between the UNP and the Democratic Party at Temple Trees last week.

Followed by this, yesterday the United National Party Working Committee decided to nominate Sarath Fonseka to Parliament through the UNP National List for the post vacated by the demise of former Land Minister M.K.D.S Gunawardena.

The Gazette notification pertaining to the appointment of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka to parliament has also been issued.

Leader of the Democratic Party Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka is expected to take oaths as a Member of Parliament through the United National Party National List today.
