Youth dies of gods wrath?

A 31 year old youth was found dead after he was locked in a room for 28 days without food as punishment from god. The youth had eaten beef at a party he had attended with friends and upon informing his parents of his deed and in fear it would bring the wrath of “god” upon their house, with the advice of a relative who worked in the church was locked in a room separate from their house to cleanse him. Relatives of the youth state that they had pleaded with his parents to set him free. The incident had occurred in Mawanella, Peellapitiya.
