CID to file charges against Tissa Attanayake
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate that it intends to file a charge sheet against former United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Tissa Attanayake for allegedly presenting a fake enforceable-bargain during the recently concluded Presidential Election campaign using fake signatures of Premier Ranil Wickramasingha and President Maithripala Sirisena.
The CID informed that it would file the charge sheet under the Civil and Political Rights Act no. 2007. The Case was fixed for hearing on August 5th.
