Lasantha Wickremathunga’s Killing Investigation Reinvented

Pichchai Jesuthasan and Kandegedera Priyavansa  were arrested under suspicion of killing Lasantha Wickremathunga, Editor of Leader and detained in prison. Pichchai Jesuthasan died while in prison.

Now CID has recommenced investigation in to the killing of Lasantha.In this connection, CID team was sent to Nuwara Eliya, where deceased  Pichchai Jesuthasan lived.They questioned more than 20 people connected with a stealing of  Pichchai Jesuthasan’s National Identity Card,which was subsequently used to obtain five telephone sim cards .Investigation is proceeding.
