Press release from meteorology Department reads thus :
“Showers will occur at times in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district. Several spells of showers will occur in the North and North-Central provinces.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after 4.00 pm.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity”.
