20% of fathers smoke in Sri Lanka

A father in every one in five houses smokes cigarettes according to a research report released by the World Health Organization (WHO) stated Chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Authority Dr. Nilantha Samarasinghe. 20% of these of fathers smoke at home and 40% smoke in public places. This research was done in a coordinated effort by the Health Ministry and the WHO.
