Srilanka Customs Imports Division Officers on Strike

Despite  several investigation divisions functioning within the Srilanka Customs, another investigation division was established, over four Departments.

If the newly established Division is empowered to monitor the operation of other investigation divisions, the Union should have been informed, which was not done. Hence, they went on strike, said Leader of the Customs Officers Union, Nishantha Uduwela.
