ETCA Agreement will be Signed during Mid of this Year

Prime Minister Ranil informed Parliament yesterday that ETCA Agreement will be signed during the Mid of this year.Indian delegation  is visiting Srilanka on 4th  March to discuss about this Agreement.

Still final draft is  not drawn. Once final draft is ready, it will be placed before a Parliamentary Select Committee to closely examine every clause   and provision of this agreement before reaching a consensus. Final draft will be placed before Parliament and debated . We are prepared to debate this in Parliament.This ETCA Agreement will be beneficial to the country and it will pave way to create more employment opportunities to Srilankan youths.

Instead of debating in Parliament by People’s Representatives, a few politically motivated politicians opted to go to street and shout cheap slogans. This is like calculating the Chart for an unborn child, he said.
