Close Associates of Mahinda Sends Frantic Messages to Maithree

A news website reported that a Senior Minister has told the media, that close associates of Mahinda Rajapakshe  said to have sent many frantic messages to Maithree to save his family from criminal allegations and in return, he is willing to retire from active politics.

But the President, Maithree reported to have denied all and informed them, that despite Mahinda’s campaign to divide the party, he would not interfere in any police investigation or judicial process during prosecutions.
