South Koreans “Ghost Protest” to Protect free Speech

A holographic “ghost protest” has been held in South Korean capital Seoul against what the organisers say is the erosion of free speech in the country.

Dozens of demonstrators appeared on a big screen near the main gate of Seoul’s historic Gyeongbokgung Palace and staged the protest.

Officials had warned “stern response” as rally’s application was submitted incorrectly. But the event took place peacefully.

The demonstration was organised by Amnesty International Korea.
