Sudden Closure of Namal’s Law Firm

Sudden Closure of Namal’s Law Firm

Attorney at Law cum Member of Parliament, Namal Rajapakshe opened a Law Firm of his own called “N.R.Associates” at No:5, Gower Street during Mahinda’s era. This law firm has undertaken legal work in respect of some important agreements entered into with some international and domestic contractors. They were doing well in legal business then.

Recently owner of the building at No:5, Gower Street,  where “N.R.Associates” functions was summoned by the FCID to record a statement. Followed by this, dead scared owner requested Namal to return the building immediately.

Followed by this development, attempts were made to shift the office and equipment to another building. But all building owners  point blank refused to rent out their building to Namal.Partners including Presidential Council, Guwera De Soyza left this Gower Street building . Only one Attorney- at – Law  remained there.

Under these circumstances office equipment were taken to the house at Torrington Square, where Namal and  Rohitha resides.

When Rajapakshe  crony had power all were at their disposal. But when they lost power all left them in the lurch.

This is the reality in live one should not forget.
