GMOA Decided to Keep Away from Discussions with Govt.on ETCA
Indian delegation on ETCA is expected in Srilanka next week for a discussion.
According to various reports the government and the GMOA are at loggerheads over various incidents in the recent past. We had several discussions with the Government in the past, but no fruitful results achieved. Hence, the Government Medical Officers Association has decided to temporarily suspend holding discussions with the government on ETCA until further notice.
Addressing a media briefing yesterday the GMOA Secretary, Dr. Nalinda Herath said, the reason for this decision is that various adverse statements made by officials regarding the Association.
