Girl commits suicide on B’day in name of love

A student of the Hatton-Kotagala Tamil Maha Vidyala was found hanging from a rafter in her home yesterday (03).

The deceased’s mother states that the incident occurred while she had gone out to pick her younger daughter from school.

The deceased student Udayakumar Praveena was a resident of the Hatton- Malliappu area. She was 19 years old and waiting to sit for AL’s this year. She was currently under suspension from school due to a love affair.
