Arrest Warrant Issued Against Thondaman

The Uva Province Minister is accused of obstructing a vehicle parade of Minister P. Digambaram during Thondaman’s tenure with the United Peoples Freedom Alliance led government in  the year 2014.

As Hatton  Magistrate, Prasad Liyanage has  rejected a medical report produced by the suspect, arrest warrant against Senior Vice President of the Ceylon Workers Congress, Uva Provincial Council Minister Senthil Thondaman was issued.

The Magistrate accordingly instructed police to arrest Senthil Thondaman stating the suspect has failed to appear at any previous hearings.

The case has been adjourned till the 6th of September.
