Value Added Tax (VAT) up by 3% – NBT Remains the Same

Prime Minister, Ranil in his special statement made in Parliament today announced that the current  VAT of 12% will be increased to 15%.  Increase of 3% on VAT will have an impact on goods, observers say. In other words, prices of goods subjected to VAT will automatically increased.
