Bail for Basil Rajapaksa by High Court
Basil Rajapakshe and Divineguma former Director General were accused of misappropriating Divineguma funds during the 2015 Presidential Election campaign. A case was filed in Colombo High Court.
They appeared before courts on summons today.
When the case was taken up for inquiry today, High Court Judge Padmini N. Ranawaka released them on a cash bail of Rs 500,000 and two sureties of Rs 5 million each.
The next hearing was fixed for 22nd July 2016.
