Suranganee Ellawella was admitted to Kandy hospital as she fell sick.She passed away while being treated at the Intensive Care Unit in Kandy hospital this morning.
Suranganee Ellawella, is the current Central Province Governor, who was also a former parliamentarian. She was the spouse of former parliamentarian Nanda Ellawella and mother of former parliamentarian, Nalanda Ellawella .
She served as Governor of the Central Province for approximately one year. Funeral arrangements not yet released.
