Taxes on imported Potatoes and Big Onions lowered

The Ministry of Finance said that the taxes imposed on imported potatoes and big onions have been lowered with effect from last midnight.

Accordingly the import tax on a Kilogram of Potatoes has been reduced from 55 to 30 Rupees and Big Onions tax from 30 to 10 Rupees.

The Ministry stated that this decision was taken as prices in the local market had seen a significant increase.
