Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya is scheduled to make a special statement in Parliament today over the island-wide power failure.
He will reveal the recommendations made by foreign experts in regard to the power failure and the transformer that exploded.
Meanwhile, the report of the Cabinet sub-committee appointed to look into the power failure is also scheduled to be handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena today.
The committee comprising of Ministers and Deputy Ministers convened meetings on several occasions previously to discuss the matter.
