Court Granted CID Two More Months Time to Report in Thajudeen Case
The Colombo Additional Magistrate, Nishantha Peiris today granted two months time period to the CID to submit a report over the progress of the inquiry into the murder of Wasim Thajudeen. Making his submission, Dilan Ratnayake who appeared for the AG told court that the original CCTV recording was sent to a foreign country for further analysis and report. There is no other copy available . Having considered the submission made by the council, Additional Magistrate,Nishantha Peiris has granted two months period and postponed the case to May 12 enabling the CID to continue their investigations.
