Rain showers will be experienced in the Northern and Eastern provinces including several other areas, the Department of Meteorology predicts.
The department added that several rain showers will hit Hambantota district.
The showers around the country are expected after 2.00pm.
“There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity,” the department warned.
