Suicide Jacket and Claymore Mines Detected in Chavakachcheri, Jaffna

It is reported that a suicide jacket and explosives have been recovered from a house in Marawanpulavu , which is on the A32 road in Chavakachcheri police area in Jaffna District. Police added that the explosives appeared to be claymore mines.   Police have raided the house on a tip-off that the owner had in his possession drugs and marijuana and during the raid the suspect had fled the area.   However, when contacted the Police Media Spokesman, Ruwan Gunasekara stated that he had not received information regarding such a recovery.
