Karapitiya Medical Student Protesters face Chillie Powder Mixed Water Treatment

A fast was being staged in front of the Medical College, demanding the closure of the Malabe Private Medical College.

Fasting  observed by medical students of  the Karapitiya Medical Faculty in Galle was interrupted this morning by an unknown party, who  threw chili powder mixed  water on the face of fasting medical students. This unexpected water therapy has badly affected the medical students on fasting.

Convener of the students committee Ryan Jayalath stated, that a group of persons that interrupted the fast, arrived at the site in a three wheeler.

Meanwhile the members of the student union of the Kelaniya University have organized a protest march today against the failure of management to find solutions to students’ problems.

The students’ protest march is currently moving towards Colombo, reports said.
