Trinco MP Abdullah Mahroof Poised to Strengthen Rishad’s Hands

UNP’s Trincomalee  District Chairman cum Mutur Organizer and Member of Parliament, Abdullah Mahrrof has decided to resign from all posts in the UNP  and ready to  join the All Ceylon  Makkal Congress (ACMC) led by Minister, Rishad Bathiudeen.

In a meeting held in Kinniya, Rishad offerred SLMC’s National organizer post to him. On enquiring about this  from Mahroof, he said that he was the only one worked so hard for the UNP in the District as from the year 2000.

But during the 2015 General Election he was not given nomination in the UNP. But nomination was given in place of  a nominee of the Rishad’s  ACMC was removed from the list. This act caused pain of mind to me, he said.

Further he said, for other Districts,  MPs representing  were given  four to five Minister Portfolios and Deputy Minister Portfolios. But Trincomalee District  is concerned , it was completely discriminated.

Hence, in view of the above reasons, he has decided to accept National Organizer Post of the ACMC  led by Rishad and extend  all possible support to the Good Governance.
