Meeting held Pertaining to Upcoming L G Elections

A meeting pertaining to the upcoming Local Government Elections was held last evening at the Elections Commission office in Rajagiriya with the attendance of Local Government & Provincial Councils Minister, Faizer Mustapha and the Chairman of the National Elections Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya.

The Minister stated that, the election will be held soon after the demarcation of land is completed.

Subsequent to the meeting, the Chairman of the National Elections Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya also held a media briefing.

He said that the Elections Commission was happy to conduct any election this year.
