50 Million Payment by Namal Rajapaksa to Airforce Raise Eyebrows
Investigation and inquiry carried out by the Presidential Commission on Bribery and Corruption found that Namal Rajapakshe, MP has utilized air-force planes / helicopters on rental basis for his 150 local journey to various places in Srilanka during Mahinda’s era. Relevant charges amounting to Rs 50 million remained unsettled for sometimes.
Subsequently, he has paid dues of Rs 50 million and settled it in then recent past.
The Presidential commission on Bribery and Corruption has commenced investigation as to how Namal was able to raise Rs 50 million within a short spell of time and identify funding sources if any.
