Bus Fare Increase for New Year Special Bus Services

Srilanka Transport Commission has decided to engage 3000 buses from day after tomorrow (8.-4. 2016). In view of the new year this new year bus services will be put on service. As the trips are one way,the transport commission has given approval to charge one and half   times the normal rate for these special services, which will be in operation until 25th April 2016.

These special service buses will start their journey at 5 am and operate 24 hour basis. Once the seats are full, it will leave towards destination.

In the meantime , if  increased  rate of payment is charged  for travel by normal buses registered with the Commission, stern action will be taken against them by the commission. Commuters can inform such violations through telephone numbers 1955 or 0112333222.
