5.9 Richter Earth Quake in Philippines
While Srilankan Sinhalese and Hindus celebrating the dawn of New Year on 14th April 2016, early in the morning people in the Southern province, 750 KM from the Capital of Philippines felt earth quake, which was recorded at 5.9 Richter.
Though tsunami warning was issued, so far no reports have been received regarding loss of lives / injured persons or damage to property.
