Fall in Colombo Stock Market

Colombo stock market has fallen to the value of 25 thousand and 700 million loss during the past one year. A release from the Central Bank revealed that the total value of the Colombo Stock Market was 2931 billion before one year. Now it has fallen to 2674 billion. Further, average share price of Colombo Stock Market has fallen to 6276 from 6914, which has a shortfall of 638 rupees.

Reason for this scenario stated to have been that withdrawal of foreign investments by foreigners and fall in incoming foreign investments. To reverse this tendency, create the environment conducive to enhance investor confidence, observers said.
