Activities of Sampanthan, TNA Leader is not Trust worthy Allege – Suresh Premachchandran

On reading media reports on finding a solution to the ethnic problem in last two days, we have several

doubts said Suresh Premachchandran, a radical former MP cum defeated candidate in the last General

Election. He said that Sampanthan is keeping on telling Tamils that an acceptable solution to the ethnic problem

will be found in the year 2016. He strongly believes that an acceptable solution to the ethnic problem

could be achieved as President and Prime Minister convinced him. Appreciate wishful thinking. But the

happenings make the Tamils to think that Sampanthan’s calculations may go wrong. We don’t want to

be an obstacle in achieving lasting solution. We standby and support Sampanthan in all his efforts in this

connection. In the election manifesto of the Tamil United Front, it was clearly stated that Northern and Eastern

Provinces should be amalgamated and the solution be under a Federal set up and rejected unitary state

concept. But the President and the Prime Minister keeping on telling the public that the solution for

ethnic problem will be found within the unitary state without amalgamating Northern and Eastern

Provinces. It is here the conflict arise creating doubt in the minds of the Tamil speaking people.

Sampanthan has not yet addressed to this conflicting situation. Hence, people loss confidence in him.

Therefore, it is essential to arrange a meeting with the President and the Prime Minister and sought out

conflicting issues prevailing in resolving ethnic issue, said Suresh Premachandran. His interview in video
