Underworld Podi Sagara Committed Suicide

One of the key underworld figures operating in  Katunayake and Seeduwa is Podi Sagara. When Police and STF rounded up the house, where  he was hiding  at Kokarella Kimbukade Pahala Medagama, he shot himself and died. He was accused of four murders. Further, he was responsible for firing shots on a prison bus at Gsmpshs in the year 2006 killing one jailer. he was accused of demanding Kappam. He is in the Police wanted list.

On a tip off that he has gone to meet his lover, police went there at 1  am and did the round up. Knowing very well that he cannot escape he shot himself with a 99 mm  gun and committed suicide.
