Visiting Sweden’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström will engage in bilateral discussions with her Sri Lankan counterpart Minister Mangala Samaraweera this morning(25).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said strengthening economic and political ties will be on the agenda.
A joint media briefing will be held subsequently.
During her three day visit Foreign Minister Wallström is due to meet with President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya.
She is also due to engage in observational tours of the North and pay visits to displaced persons, civil organisations and political representatives.
