Rishad Reject Federal Proposal by Northern PC

Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry and Commerce  has out-rightly  condemned the move by the  Northern Provincial Council’s decision  seeking a federal solution for the country’s minority Tamil community.

In response to a question by a journalist  in an event held at Nelunkulam in  Vavuniya on 24th April 2016, Minister Bathiudeen said,  that none of the politicians representing his All Ceylon People’s Congress  backed  the resolution.

He further added  that a discussion would be held with the TNA leaders regarding the proposal  within next few days.

The NPC adopted the resolution seeking a federal solution to resolve the ethnic  issue  for the country’s minority Tamil community.  The resolution was presented by Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran while the Ministers and members of the council expressed views on the proposal afterwards.
