Sajin Vaas files petition for bail
United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Sajin Vaas Gunawardena who was arrested regarding misusing vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat has filed a petition to the Colombo High Court today (09) after being denied bail by the Fort Magistrate.
The MP’s bail application was based on medical grounds but was turned down by Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage and ordered he be further remanded till the 15th of June.
His bail application is to be taken up by the High Court on Thursday (11).
