Mahinda Rajapakse’s life in danger ?

A group calling themselves the People’s Media Center (PMC) lodged a complaint today (09) with the Police Headquarters stating that there was an imminent threat to former President Mahinda Rajapakse’s life.

“Attempting to release LTTE terrorists, not taking legal actions against criminals, alleged murder charges, recalling investigation officers who resided in LTTE friendly countries such as the USA and purposefully disregarding the former President’s security” were reasons quoted in their statement as reasons behind them fearing such a threat.

The National Organizer of the PMC Nimal Weeratunga further stated that they are hoping to present Verbal and written evidence during the investigation.

Copies of the complaint have been sent to the President, the Secretary to the President and the Defence Secretary among others.
