5,000 Police Officers to be Deployed on Duty for May Day

Five thousand (5,000) police officers are set to be deployed on duty for May Day. Police said ,that 3100 officers will be dispatched for security purposes, while 1900 will be dispatched to control road traffic.

Further Police said, that these officers will be deployed on duty owing to the May Day celebrations and rallies held within Colombo and other areas.
