Wildlife Ranger in Bribery Net

Maduru oya National Park Wildlife Ranger has caught two fishermen fishing in the reserve. He arrested and detained them. During their detention he demanded Rs 15,000 from them to refrain from prosecution. Fishermen bargained and agreed to pay him Rs12,000. Bribery Officials intercepted while fishermen making the payment of Rs 12,000 to the Wildlife Ranger .

The suspect will be produced in Polonnaruwa Magistrate court, said Bribery Commission Investigation Director,Priyantha Chandrasiri.
