Youths smoking pot end debate in blood and death

Five friends who had been out during the Poson celebrations smoking “Ganja” and experimenting with heavy painkillers had gotten in to an argument resulting in the death of one and serious injury to another.

The friend had been out enjoying the lights and celebrations while getting “high”, however and argument had broken out resulting in the chief suspect cracking an empty bottle over the head of his friend and slashing the neck of another who had tried to intervene.

The youth with the slashed neck had died instantaneously while the other had been in critical condition. The two other youths present had acted in bringing both the wounded and deceased to the hospital in a rickshaw.

The main suspect had been apprehended by police while he had been hiding in his home. The wounded youth is in critical condition in the Intensive care unit.
