Opposition Alleged Questions Asked From PM Remains Unanswered

Premier Wickremesinghe had not provided answers to questions that were raised in Parliament, alleged Opposition MPs. Bandula Gunawardena MP  stated that they have  reached an agreement to make provision to ask  one question per month and get the answer.

Chief Opposition Whip, Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that they arrived at  a decision on of March 5,  to the effect that when a question is  asked  from  the Prime Minister, an answer must be provided before noon on the following Friday.  Two questions were asked from the PM.The question was the loan amount obtained from the International Monetary Fund and the duration of the loan.

Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe said that he cannot provide an answer on the matter of another ministry, in 24 hours.

Chief Opposition Whip, Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that it is wrong to provide excuses, when a question is raised.

Explaining further, he added that they should not require time to answer. He added that answers should be provided for the loan amount agreed with the IMF, the time duration of it, conditions that were made?

He went on to note that the Prime Minister should provide an answer to this, without consulting anyone else.
