IP Sumith Perera In Thajudeen Case Further Remanded until 12th May 2016

When the case of Thajudeen was taken up for inquiry today(5), the CID also informed the Court that there is a contradiction in the statements made by Sumith Perera in connection with the case.  The Colombo Additional Magistrate had earlier instructed the CID to expedite investigations into the death of the Sri Lankan rugby player, Thajudeen, whose charred  body was found on May 17, 2012 inside his burnt  car, which appeared to have crashed into a wall  near Shalika Hall in Kirulapone.
The CID moved as the evidence of Sumith Perera contradicts, further investigation need to be done.Hence,  the court ordered that the former Crime OIC  has been further remanded until 12th May 2016.
