Laggala Police Traffic OIC Interdicted

The Traffic OIC of Laggala Police was interdicted in connection with a drunken party organized at Laggala Police the night before the theft of weapons from the armory.

Drinking party took place in the night  of April 13, and the theft  took place early in the morning of 14th April 2016.

The Traffic OIC was interdicted on the orders of Matale ASP Janak Weerasinghe with effect from today(5).

One policeman is in remand custody over the theft and two others have been suspended.
