Person Who Threatened President in Court Today

An individual who thrown  death threats at President Maithripala Sirisena via social media  was arrested at the BIA when he returned from Malaysia and remanded.The suspect was arrested on the 27th of April after being deported from Malaysia for residing without a visa. He is scheduled to be produced before court today.

A Srilankan, resident of Yakkala in Malaysia has reportedly thrown  death threats at the President following the arrest of the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation, Galagodaththe Gnanasara.

He was subsequently produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court and remanded till today.
