Case Against Wimal Weerawansa Soon under Penal Code &Immigration and Emigration Act

Attorney General has shown green light to file a case against vociferous Wimal Weerawansa, Member of Parliament and leader of National Freedom Front under penal code and immigration and emigration act.

He is to be charged for the following offences committed;

1. Keeping a bogus passport in his custody violating laws of immigration and emigration

2. Attempting to go abroad by using the bogus passport.

A case will be filed in the Colombo Chief magistrate Court in a day or two, police sources revealed.
