Basil’s Wife, Daughter Fail to Respond Summons by Presidential Commission

Pushpa Rajapaksa and Theja Rajapaksa, wife and daughter of former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa have avoided the Presidential Commission to Investigate Mass scale Corruption and Financial Malpractices twice despite summons issued by the commission.
They were summoned by the Commission as part of ongoing investigations into the misuse of planes and helicopters belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force.However,the Commission has decided to summon them again  on May 13.
Sources said, that the Commission is unable to conclude its investigations as Pushpa Rajapaksa and Theja Rajapaksa do not turn up before the Commission.
