Divaina Deputy Editor Resigns Taking responsibility for the Article on Anura Kumara Dissanayake

Manoj Abeydeera, Deputy Editor of  ‘Sunday Divaina’ newspaper has resigned  from his post following the news report and feature on the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna published last Sunday. Abeydeera has handed over his resignation letter yesterday taking full  responsibility for the article. The Sunday Divaina newspaper leveled serious allegations against the JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, claiming that his party leadership was threatened, as he was queried on his alleged fraudulent activities.

After he was questioned by the party of his finances, that Dissanayake  reported to have left for Ireland last month

The JVP complained to the Press Complaints Council of Sri Lanka on the matter and threatened to take legal action.
