Followed by China-Srilanka Trade Agreement, Bilateral and Trade Relations will Improve

After signing free trade agreement between China and Srilanka, Economic and Trade relations between the two countries will improve , said Minister of Trade and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen. China’s mineral source organisation representatives met the Minister  in his ministry yesterday, 12th and discussed about china’s investment in Srilanka’s mineral field.
Chinese representatives said that they are interested in this field and Srilanka’s Geographical location is suitable to develop in the mineral field. They have submitted their Project Plan prepared by them to the Minister.
In response Rishad said that in Srilankas’s coastal areas  are full  of minerals and  ilmenite,  mineral found in Pulmoddai is being exported to foreign countries,
Srilankan Graphite is exported as a raw material, and if  it is refined and send lot of foreign exchange could be earned, he said.
We are considering  improvement on technical facilities in this connection. Graphite like minerals are used to manufacture computer software, he told the Chinese delegation.
